Live in concert at the
Majestic Theatre in Streator,
IL - 16 February 2002
Head East began the 2002 tour season playing
before a near capacity crowd at the newly remodeled Majestic Theatre in Streator,
Illinois. This historic theatre provided an atmosphere well suited
to the evenings events. It's intimate setting of 500 plus floor and balcony
seats ensured that there wasn't a bad seat in the house.

The evening began with a lively set by The
Edge, who entertained the audience of more than 400 appreciative
fans with a selection of popular rock, blues, and
country songs.
After their one hour set and a quick equipment changeover, Head
East took the stage to the excitement of the crowd. They opened with
City of Gold / Fly By Night Lady and continued on playing all
of their biggest hits including Love Me Tonight, Since
You Been Gone, and Never Been Any Reason. The
crowd was brought to their feet on several occasions. And when Head East
left the stage after playing their signature song Never Been any
Reason, the crowd lifted their lighters high into the air and chanted
HEAD EAST! HEAD EAST! HEAD EAST!
The crowd's enthusiasm brought the band back up on stage for a two song encore
which included Elijah and the impromptu boogie-woogie rhythm
& blues jam Goin' Back To Georgia. After the concert
the members of Head East talked with fans and signed autographs
in the theatre lobby. Several Photos of the concert are shown below.
